Who tumbled along, drowning down below...

Stephen King's "Thinner"

People keep interrupting me when I'm trying to settle down for a good read. The only time I've time to read now is in the bath and EVEN then people keep disturbing me! Casey kept calling me while I was in the bath just now, but I chose to have selective hearing and rush through the book rather than talk to him. X)

Its such a sin to take bubble baths as often as I do- Cut down on water consumption, FAIL. I think I use four times the amount of water I'd usually use showering when I am bathing. Ugh. Argh. Would it help if I went out and planted trees? My environmental conscience is acting up.

Busy busy week coming up. =/

J'avais oublie! C'est qui?

My Mika! Speaking french too! I can barely understand what he is saying but his teeth are hypnotizing me. What beautiful teeth! Voulez vous m'eposer?

I'm counting the days till his new album is out. 21st September! Mark it down!

Evonne. Who?!

I'm the biggest procrastinator ever. I came home at 6 wanting to blog about Evonne's birthday and now its 10 and I haven't written a word, only uploaded the photos. Fail blogger yes?

Ken also decided to come disturb me by telling me how awesome and fun
Urban Dictionary is. So for the past few hours I had Facebook, Twitter and Urban Dictionary open on three tabs. There are some really nasty definitions of Sheena out there, which leads me to think there must not have been very nice Sheena's around.

Oh okay, I'm deviating from topic. Evonne's birthday! Lots of photos! Enjoy.

Our super long table at Itallianies! (20 Pax)

Gloria~ She gets prettier and prettier by the month.

We all wore rings! Evonne's is the white rose, mine is the vintage looking thing and Gloria's the peace sign.

Dinner was on Evonne! How very nice of her and her parents, imagine me walking up to my parents going "Hey! We're going to have dinner at TGIF! I told the gang its on me, meaning its on you guys!" Dad would sooner sell me off to Thailand. She even got us all individually packed Cuppacakes.

I had a last minute dress change. Saw an awesome LBD and couldn't resist, Asian Avenue is now officially my favorite place to shop. You just bump into too many people wearing the same things when you wear TopShop or Forever21, not to mention how overpriced it is. It was my first LBD too, imagine that, over forty dresses and not one is black in color.

Kevin and Alvin~

Course/College mates.

Calvin from Diploma, haven't seen him in AGES!

Evonne's drink that was super diluted. Cannot complain so much loh, the staff was super helpful and friendly.

Angeline [!!!] and Zhenyu

Part of the table, the "COOLER" side. (Excluding Casey.) X)

Arthur and Joey~ Don't they sort of look like siblings? Its the hair I think.

Kevin~ I don't know why he unbuttoned so many buttons.

Agonizingly painful yet absolutely gorgeous pumps! Got price tag still summore.

Cupcakes! Gloria licking em like mad.

Balanced diet- One cupcake in each hand.

Steven pretending not to pose but still posing for the camera.

Me and Alvin~

Camwhoring while Steven drove us home. Evonne likes this pic because her nose looks super sharp and pointy.

Three of us in the backseat, Steven and ZY up front.

Oh lol. I super hate my braces but I love this photo more!

Mom's sequined clutch from the 70's. Real Vintage! Now thats rare!

"Have you ever thought about what protects our hearts?
Just a cage of rib bones and other various parts;
So it's fairly simple to cut right through the mess,
And to stop the muscle that makes us confess."

-Breakable by my current favorite, Ingrid Michaelson

PS: Want to annoy Evonne? Call her and start singing the Hokkien version of Umbrella.

PPS: K. Want to go back to doing unproductive things on Facebook. Bye!

PPPS: Oh yes. And I feel that it is important that I justify the KYC Report somehow. I have NO idea what happened to the grammar, maybe someone tweaked it or something? But not my english suh.

Tiang Lampu. Def: That annoying thing hovering around people who are trying to have some privacy. Ie: Yours truly.

Lepak-ing at Starbucks with the gang while we try not to "Tiang Lampu" Darren's date.

We were at the Starbucks in Borders- Me eye-ing all the expensive books I can't afford on my measly income and allowance. I really want to read "Lord of the Flies"; Something has happened to me lately, I can't seem to read romance novels anymore, all that just seems so... shallow. I'm not claiming to be a book-snob here, I still do pick up romance titles, but the story just doesn't engage me like how it used to.

I've been craving for some proper books, I'm in love with Stephen King now. Mostly with the story "Low Men in Yellow Coats", its so beautiful. Its love, yes, but between friends, the sad longing for a family, the portrayal of how the role of adults slowly shift as we enter adulthood ourselves.

I was digging around my dads bookshelf when I came across a gem. A really old book by Stephen King- "Thinner". It even has that musky old book scent, I'm taking Brautigans advice on this and not reading the summary before starting on it, let it be a blank canvas. I've only read bits of it but it promises to be a good book. So far...

I swear, this is the only feature I enjoy using on the Mac.

Waiting for Sheida to come out to talk to me.

I finally bought the rabbit harness and leash for Angel. I can't remember the last time I brought her out for a walk. She's so slow though, I usually end up carrying her . The thing I hate most about bring Angel out is when she poops, I have to stoop down and pick it up. Glamour betul.

Imagine this situation, you're walking pass a group of neighbors chatting and they all turn and start coo-ing about how cute your dog is and you have this smirk like "Yeah, she's MY dog." Then she starts pooping in front of their house =.= I've never seen faces go from happy to horrified so fast. (Excluding report card day.)

I love Angel's new leash! Quote Kevin "Its soooo... Sheena."

Trust me, she's only white because she just came back from grooming.

Zhen Yu jogging, Kevin LOOKING like he's pickin' his nose.

Every surface in my room looks like this. My parents keep bothering me to clean up, but I can't work well when everything is clean, its disorienting. Let it be untidy so long as its clean okay?

Peter Pan Syndrome

Read it. Its interesting how many people you know
actually DO fall under that category. I think I
have a mild case of Peter Pan syndrome myself.
I really resent growing old- More
than the average person I think.

PS: Yesss. Its Evonne's Birthday. And when its someones birthday its OBLIGATORY to fuss over them. Let someone else have the spotlight for once will you?

PPS: I KNOW I should movve to blogspot already. But I'm so used to blogdrive!

I'll put a spell on you!

Guilty: Walking into the bathroom in the morning, only to find Daudi drinking water off the bathroom floor.

Daudi- During one of the rare times that he is actually in his cage.

Its not my fault Daudi is a free spirit that refuses to be confined to cages. But it would help his well-being and my conscience a lot. Someone once said that I have the wackiest pets ever, don't think I wouldn't want a dog that wasn't afraid of cats or a hamster that wasn't as headstrong or that didn't scream as much as Daudi did? My pets are weird and quirky, but I love them. If I had a cat it'll be busy swimming around the fish bowl.

I've fulfilled all requirements of being on semester break, the vicious cycle of [1] making my pajamas my daily wear [2] Walking around the house aimlessly [3] Living life through Facebook [4] Sleeping at 5am and waking up at 7pm. I need to get a hobby, I also need to buy Angel a rabbit harness so I can walk her more often. (The leash gets tangled around her legs too much.)

The roadside Carnival near Jusco.

This happened back on Saturday. Yeah, we actually went, aren't you ever sick of trudging around malls? Now that we've got our license I've been doing the funnest things with the gang, we've gone to the beach, climbed the steps at Batu Caves, watched a movie in the garden on the grass, gone on makan trips. Think out of the box.

The carnival was scary, MADE IN CHINA stamped all over garish spray painted rides while painful remixed versions of popular songs blared out from loudspeakers. It made everything surreal.... and nauseating.

Stevens narcissistic shirt; Lining up for the rides.

On the Ferris Wheel. Casey being a pussy and I was supposed to be praying...

Overworn Topshop shirt- Doesn't EVERYONE have one? =/

No idea what Steven is trying to do, but Gloria has had her hair straightened. Chio bo?

We were strapped into this one ride- four passengers a car where they spin you round and round then up and down. I was at the back with Gloria while Casey and Steven were focusing on this one screw that kept jiggling and jiggling, I gripped the sides every time there was a bump and the screw unscrewed itself mentally in my head. (Mentally. In my head. Redundant much?)

We kept pretending to have "Final Destination" moments too. But the rides weren't cheap, four bucks per ride, the games were even more expensive and completely not worth it- Mainly because of the sucky prizes. There was no cotton candy!!! How do you go to a carnival without cotton candy?! My stomach still yearns for it, knowing it has been cheated.

On previously mentioned scary ride with jiggly screws.

Windy~

Carnival lights.

Random photos (Mostly photos that never made it into a blogpost.)

Hair is back to normal.

Sunstreaks. =)

Gloria went and flirted with the guy while ordering her Mcflurry and she got THIS much extra Oreos.

So highschool. I know, I love bright colors.

Cherries!

Spent RM40 on junk food. Its expensive trying to maintain human sugar levels in my house.

Vanila coke- See? I'm always in support of Shawn.

Me and Evonne at this famous teochew restaurant. Our favorite place for pork belly soup!

Mom and dad back when they were skinnier (And no doubt happier.)

Not my brightest moment. Lol.

"If we close, the door, the night could last forever."

PS: Addicted to Ingrid Michelson. She's very witty too, try watching some of her videos.

PPS: "Science of Sleep" is static!!! Doesn't anyone have the DVD I can borrow?!?!

Government. FAIL.

Oh go ahead and revert the medium of teaching science and mathematics back to Malay; Since standards have been dropping so much since we starting teaching in english, go ahead and switch it back. Then when the students enter college or other institutions of higher education, lets stand back and watch all of them drown.

  X) The government has never made a smarter choice. PERIOD.

Maintain the current syllables in teaching English too. It was sooooo challenging doing fill-in-the-blanks during HIGH SCHOOL- I swear, Omer was laughing his ass off when he saw my Form Five English book. Our current standard of english is pathetic, I sympatize with those in the rural districts, really, but is lowering the standards so they pass going to help out one bit?

Another issue of this policy is the lack of qualified teachers to teach science and mathematics in schools. I remember back when I was twelve and the policy was just implemented. There was this teacher teaching us science in english and the question was "How do we prevent extinction?" The teacher wrote on the black board "Stop hunted the animals."

I immediately starting chuckling, raised my hand to interrupt "Isn't it hunting?" The teacher went (In mandarin.) "No, its hunted."
  "Ummm no, its hunting."

Then this some other dumb classmate went "Sit down lah, the answer sheet also says hunted!"
"But no, the answer is hunting."
There was no point in arguing, the answer sheet DID say hunted. My point is, the teacher DIDN'T KNOW!?!?!? I remember being very angry and blinking back tears of frustration. The whole class thought I was stupid too, "Sheena can't speak mandarin properly, can't speak ENGLISH properly and tried to correct the teacher?"

  Oh ugh. The injustice.

Live from da garden.

I'm blogging in the garden with my laptop while chilling with Zhen Yu and Steven. The gang just left; Niesha came back for the weekend dead broke so we had to improvise our plans a little bit, solution was Zhen Yu bringing his projector over, us setting up the white screen in the garden and sitting on the grass. =)

This is us now, just imagine me next to them. =/

Setting up the sound system and white screen.

Behind the white screen... Blurry Niesha...

Four weddings and a funeral. Kinda lousy, but its who you watch it with that counts.

This is a continuation from the previous blog post. I had to do this modeling stint for "A Cut Above" after hanging out with the gang. Its so fun, I actually got to chose and beg for the hairstyle I wanted- Try doing that on other sets and they'd send you back home.

They initially wanted to crimp half my head, but I begged them to do an afro style instead, because I LOVE afro-ish hair. There's this really pretty classmate of Kevin's , Ranessa I think, who has hair I would absolutely kill for, spiral curls all over. Geram just looking at her...

Sleeping while they did my hair.

Vincent did the left side. Messy sial. Do you see how small the braids are? Effing painful.

Skit did the right, SO much neater. And he didn't hurt me or cut my hair either! XD

Maggie meee!

It looked so good. Then they went and brushed it all out. =.=

End result, they did this Sanjaya faux-hawk style at first, liked that so much better.

It looks good but the process is killer. I sat there for almost five hours while they braided my hair- Manually, no chemicals, nothing to set the hair aside from mousse and the braids. My neck hurt like eff, but they were so nice, it was almost like being treated like a child... =/

But I love the hair! I want to make it permanent but its really hard work noh? Tangles like mad, itchy, hot. The educator there was so funny he said "Now all I have to do is give you the smoky eyes, unleash you in Coco Banana and you can murder the club." Gay people are so flamboyant and funny. =)\

Das me hiding under the table from Evil Eye.

Its easier to hide under the table if you are a ten year old midget. Camwhoring with my camera too. =.=

"If we close, the door, the night could last forever."

PS: Stephen King is 6'4. Fun fact, I don't know why I'm inclined towards tall people.

PPS: Its 4am and I'm still out in the garden. I should be packing things up by now. Casey said he'll bring us to the crappy rundown carnival tonight! I wanna go!

Got nothing new, telling me telling you, that the sky isn't blue, like the blue that we know...

It has been a well-documented day. We seem to live in an era where our daily lives are so well-recorded, photos, videos, blogs. I can go on Facebook and find myself tagged in a million photo's at different times throughout the day. Big brother is watching...

Finals are OVER! Had our last paper- Intro to Mass Communications today, easy peasy, but mostly due to the awesome last minute preparation I had in the car with Evonne. We make an awesome team- complete opposites that clash like mad, yet completely similar and very in tuned and synchronized. Doesn't make sense does it? Relationships are very complicated.

I also have millions of photos waiting to be published and of course, my friends waiting for the very selfish me to post them up.

2nd last day of Semester 2, Media Hub

The gang "Studying"- which in our loose terms means monkeying around, wasting time on Facebook and cam whoring.

Omer digging around Wei Werns head.

Joey ignoring me. [I love how Dixie is posing at the back!]

Joey not succeeding in ignoring me.

"Guys! Act like you're studying!"

Went to Popeye's for the first time today with classmates to celebrate end of Semester 2! Really good food- scones with chicken [!?!?!] But I didn't eat a lot, there was major mix ups with our orders. Omer taught me how to speak Urdu, mainly the bad words. I really suck but I love listening to him speak Urdu with his friends, foreign languages are so beautiful.

POPEYES! Two breasts, spicy too when I asked for drumsticks, original.

Michy! Who is leaving for Sarawak and can't celebrate her birthday with us. Awwww.

Ember/Amber (Which? I use both!) and Omer~

[Oh, ugh, 3am, Photobucket is static, forgive me. Will finish tomorrow after pulling my stint at moms new shop opening!]

Personalized Necklace.

Necklace came in the mail today!

Isn't it pretty? Am very satisfied.
You can get your own from Kaze Bert.

I highly recommend her, she's very nice, very friendly and helpful, replies fast and politely. The necklace also seems to be of good quality although the chain is a little too short; I sort of expected my necklace to be gold (Not a big fan of silver.) but that is fault on my part because I forgot to ask her to do gold plating.

PS: Urh. Something is effing up my blog really badly, commenting doesn't work, neither does chatbox and it tends to eff up my posts too. But no worries, I'm switching to blogspot pretty soon. Watch this space~

Bollocks Maximus. (Again.)

Oh haha. This is how naive Phil is.

Screwing with his head is so much more fun than studying for Malaysian History. I can picture his paper tomorrow, "The main provision of the constitution provides us with fundamental liberties like freedom of speech, the right to assemble, freedom of association and BOLLOCKS MAXIMUS!"

Internet is so laggy I can't even properly show off my new personalized name necklace- Which came in the mail today and says "Sheena Liam" in silver cursive. Yum yum. Phil is still wearing todays clothes which means he hasn't taken a bath. Just thought I'd share that with everyone. XD Tempus fugit!

*UPDATE*

Oh ummm... I just had to...

Phil's reaction. I had to hold my nose so I wouldn't have a print-screen of me with flared nostrils. XD

Okay okay. Study now, study now...
