It started with a pain in my right arm...
And now its turned into a full blown fever. I've been put under house quarantine, at least till the fever is over. The medication helps me keep my thoughts logical and rational, at least as much so as they can get.

I get annoyed when guys perasan I'm into them. I realize guys are really thick skinned in the sense that they think everything you do revolves around them. For instance, I can be in a bad mood and they'd go "Why Sheena so cranky today ah? Sure because of *Gregory* keep flirting with *Eliza*" Realize in this sense that it is not the guy that is feeding his own ego, other guys help to feed his ego as well.

And the more you deny it the more it seems true, so sometimes you just have to sit back and shut up. But every once so often you just want to scream "Get over yourself already!" Once there was this guy I happened to bump into at Asia Cafe, that night he sms-ed me "Its alright Sheena, I know you're into me, you don't have to come all the way to Asia Cafe to look for me."

Okay. That was funny. Why do guys have the right to be so thick skinned and still not be hated? If a girl did something like that, everyone would be thinking "Bitch."

When I haven't been blogging as often. Its probably because I've got my head stuck in a book, I barely ever have time to read; I've to read a book for Media Appreciation class, but they're all so good, I can't just settle on one! I keep having to read the next in case its better!

Sophie's World

I don't take the best care for my books; (Don't worry Sabrina, I jaga your Sophie's World Kao Kao.) My books are often mangled, wet, bent and scribbled on by the time I'm through with them. I don't know how people take such good care of books, I shove mine in my bag, carry them everywhere, read while I'm in the tub, read while I'm eating.

Evonne's books all look unopened until I borrow them, hers don't even have the creases on the binding you get from flipping pages. But her mom is super strict about books. I'm glad my parents are quite liberal, gave me more of an attitude. But the tidy room thing I still don't get... =/

Kajang is the most boring place ever, if you want to have fun on a Friday night, it takes a bit of creativity. Else we're stuck to bumming on walls and around mamaks. My house is always the hang out spot, I think its because my parents stay at the upstairs living room and out of our way leaving the den and the downstairs garden free for us to make noise.

Our school has a gossip blog! Sure the language isn't as sophisticated and neither does the author articulate himself well, leaving some things highly questionable. But hey, a rumor is a rumor!

Foot-In-Mouth disease.

Forget H1N1...
I'm suffering from acute foot-in-mouth disease and I've got Murphys Law applying to every single action and word I say.

This morning I was with Evonne in the car; Evonne was suffering from horrendous stomach aches and kept wanting to throw up in the car. When we reached the parking lot (If you can call that lousy stretch of land covered in sand a parking lot) it was super full and Evonne didn't think she could walk that far. I told her to wait on it and to our luck, this guy from the second row started to pull out.

So we were waiting on this guy to pull out when a Green Waja appeared behind us. The moment the previous car left, the green Waja immediately slotted into the spot. I turned to Evonne, completely dumbfounded "What just happened?"
"I don't know, he highlighted then he just went in."
"Can he do that?"
"I think he just stole my spot."

Evonne was pissed, I was pissed. I got out of the car intending to tell the guy off; I was all ready and angry, preparing my lecture when I spotted the girl in the passenger seat. She looked superbly terrified, what was I going to do? Go up to the passenger window and roar?

I decided to shrug it off and got back into Evonne's car; The green Waja immediately backed out of the parking lot and honked. The both of us turned around and it was ERIC CHAN.

Argh. Ugh. Talk about bad luck, Eric is this guy from Diploma we're on quite friendly terms with. Omg. I feel so bad. Luckily I didn't go do something stupid and irrational like kick his rear bumper or anything...

An Honest Mistake

Went to check out a friends band on Satuday at the Indie Youth Fest.

An Honest Mistake- If you've heard of them, they're this up and coming local indie band. I heard they've already songs on the air. Their sound according to their website is a blend of acoustic emo and pop.

Eve Oh- We met through our brothers back in primary school. She's now supporting vocals for the band.

You can buy their adorable purple T-shirts to support them.

They have some quirky funny songs, theres one called "This Song Is So Random, I Don't Know Why." Check them out on Facebook or their blog where you can obtain information about their upcoming gigs or see videos of their performances.

I just finished reading this for Media Appreciation class. Its such a good book. I borrowed it from Winson in economy class and whizzed through half of it, the other half I finished at home in barely 2 hours.

A Cut Above Hair Show

Okay lol. I have procrastinated enough, but I think its justifiable.

I was SOOOOO frickin tired, imagine being taped into a dress that you can't sit in or bend (Reasons will be obvious later.) 3 hours before the fashion show. My feet were burning by the end of the night and Evonne left her phone with a friend in Coco Banana when my car was parked at Forever 21. This is Sunway I'm talking about of course.

I sort of thought this was really bad. Until...

Until this happened... =/

I barely ate on that day, I ate in the morning, then I was back in the chair for a second round of re-braiding. The academy is super cold but I seem to be the only one feeling that way, I was wrapped up in my super large hoodie while the other models paraded around in tube tops and shorts.

At four Evonne went and tarpau-ed me this BBQ chicken lunch set, I only got through half of it when I had to go in for makeup. By the time I got back the food was freezing cold and I didn't have the mood to eat anymore.

This girl is only 15 years old and already 171cm! But she's so terribly shy, the sweetest thing ever.

I managed to take photos with Winne Loo! But they're with Evonne because my camera ran out of battery halfway, when I was on the runway too! (Murphys Law) So I have no photos of me on the runway but there were millions of cameras so I expect them to surface somewhere.

Winnie Loo was behind me when they were teasing my hair but I didn't notice cause I couldn't turn my head. The teasing hurt so bad I sat there with tears running down my face, tissues attached to the corners of my eyes so I wouldn't ruin the makeup. She was really nice, she said to me "Wow, your hair looks really nice huh? Now you can go clubbing."

I think if I DID go my hair would REEK of smoke.

My lipstick was originally this light pink, but then the hair covered my eyes so they changed it to black so something would stand out on my face.

They kept teasing it higher and higher and kept spraying more and more hairspray, I'm probably solely responsible for the ozone layers dissipation. They told Winnie my hair was 100% real and she was like "Wow, even bigger than Avant Garde hair do."

Me and Evonne, her head extension is frickin' heavy and she had to lean againts the wall for support.

We were marched through Sunway Pyramid all the way to Republic Bar outdoors. People were standing around the mall taking photos of us, it was sooo funny to see their reaction to 54 models with the craziest hair wearing clothes made out of recycled material lined up in a row.

Even after the fashion show when I had the crazy hair but was dressed in normal clothes people kept coming up to me and taking pictures, this one little kid was so scared, I kept smiling like "Its okay, come here." wasn't till afterward when I smiled to myself in the mirror I realized I looked even more terrifying smiling. This one guy actually ran his fingers through my hair, and I was standing there like "What do you want?"

I'll promise to post photos of me on the runway once I get hold of them. The runway was pretty awesome. From inside Republic's dance floor area to the bar outside.

Went to Amp Square in pyramid for some crazy karaoke-ing with course mates. Amp Square is CHEAP (Albeit having super ugly and clashing deco.) we paid like 11 bucks each INCLUSIVE of lunch and free drink. Lunch wasn't half that bad either, wasn't amazing but wasn't bad.

Was so fun, us singing our lungs out, jumping on the chairs, taking crazy photos, playing the tapping thingie on Zanardy's I-phone. I can't stand those songs where the music videos has nothing to do with the lyrics, you'd be singing "Hit me baby" and the video is some European girl smiling casually, walking in circles, laughing to herself in what she probably thinks is an attractive manner, wearing clothes decades ago, all set against a backdrop of either [a] some garden [b] in front of a fountain or [c] some random European city square. No relevance whatsoever...

Lol. Omer and Zanardy! Anyone remember what they were singing?

Tomorrow is my last day of being Vincents model. I'll miss hanging around the academy, getting my hair tied into insane avant garde hairstyles, chatting with all the funny witty people there. Elizabeth, Fabien, Dotcom etc etc. They're all so nice and chatty, I get treated like I'm a little girl.

The afro do looks absolutely gorgeous but the process is so hard. I'm the only model with an afro that is 100% my hair, no extensions, nothing. The rest get their hair wrapped into a bun and hair extensions attached; mine is pure human hair, miniature braided from the scalp.

Pfft. Hair extension afro. But her dress is completely made out of newspapers and magazines. Awesome noh?

Its an excruciating process, I've had my hair braided twice already. First time for 6 hours second time about seven hours. Imagine sitting in the same seat for that long, not moving; My neck and back was hurting so bad I was tearing in the seats, but the results are really worth it.

I'm really touched and amazed by the amount of effort Vincent has put into my hair and image. They also have to make clothes for the models COMPLETELY out of newspaper and magazines, and not to mention the avant garde makeup. It'll look really awesome when I'm out on stage tomorrow night.

I know the scarf makes it look like a bad joke from the 80's but if I let it go it'll go... WOOOOSHHH. Like Mufasa only scarier.

This is my "Don't make me smile cause my neck is hurting like **** " face...

I really enjoyed modeling for them, its like watching an amazing piece of art come together bit by bit. Makes me wish I was in hair dressing too.

Am loving my embroidered top! The Paris pendant is actually this key chain I found in my brother's room.

My internet has been crap. I'm relaying between my laptop and dad's laptop downstairs. While one loads, I move on to the other. Why am I so rajin?

Kamikaze moth. =/

I hit one million NON-UNIQUE reads a while ago, 60% of which constitutes me, 10% of which Gloria insists constitutes her, 5% probably my parents and the other 20% my friends, the last bit are mostly strangers and anonymous readers I'd guess, maybe even less than 5%.

I've met so many interesting people through blogging, people like Ken, Keith, Sabrina, Tik Tsin. The best part is when strangers come up to you or email you, telling you they've seen and read your blog, its really flattering, its weird too, sometimes I don't know how to act, but its fun meeting people who actually read my blog. Its fun meeting people who actually read. PERIOD.

Alone in Wondermilk before French class...

The thing about having readers though, is that sometimes you end up blogging for them rather than for yourself. I hate it when you get scolded for telling the truth, when people force you to take things down. But its honestly how you feel right? Its your honest opinion. Why are we so hard up to please people anyway?

Vivian sent me a photo of these cockroaches she's preserving for Biology class. "Why the hell did you do that?", "Because I can." She's crazy and annoys the hell out of me, but I miss her like mad. I miss hanging out with the girls in high school, sneaking into all their classes just to hang out. The teachers never did notice us for some reason, some purposely turned a blind eye, others really didn't know.

College started today. There was a new addition to our class and Neeshan reappeared after disappearing at the start of sem 2. Besides that everything is back to normal, just the classes are really boring. For the first time this year we have a serious subject- Economy. -,-

Parallel Synchronized Randomness

Finally watched The Science of Sleep.
Its so beautifully done, the story was wacky and made no sense; But it was so beautiful, so surreal, so detached and sad; The kind of movie that makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up.

I think I prefer this to "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind". That movie was a masterpiece, no doubt, but this movie is just... Bizarre... and different. There's a sort of low budget feel to the way it was shot, gives it a more real feeling.

I think the room at the start was the inside of Stephane's brain. Imagine all that effort put into shooting just a few seconds, everything has to synchronize at the right moment. I saw the documentary when Gondry was building the piano that could paint for Bjork, I didn't know it was for the dream sequences.

The ending was one of those abrupt ones _________________
A fill-in-the-blanks sort of ending. Completely open to interpretation; I think that Stephane is only in love with the Stephanie he has created in his head. I think in the end he realizes that Stephanie is imperfect,"You never finish anything! It drives me crazy." the contrast between Stephanie in his dreams and Stephanie in reality grows more and more obvious as the ending nears. The only way Stephane can be with Stephanie is in his dreams. [Now picture me in front of the laptop at 4am in the morning sobbing my eyes out.]

I think I'm an old soul; my grandmum thinks so too. She's very nice to talk to, I miss her lots now that she's back in Penang, I wonder who's helping her apply her eyedrops every night. She lives alone in this temple she mantains, she does fortune telling too.

I think something very sad has happened to me in a past life. Something so incredibly sad that its etched itself onto the soul, maybe thats why I cry for no reason. Its so weird, it really does happen out of the blue, sometimes I just suddenly feel like crying in class. Last week I woke up sobbing really hard and I felt so sad, but I didn't know why.

It happens in a sort of pattern- If I wake up crying that week, I'll probably cry in my sleep two-three times over the next few days. Then it'll stop, for a few weeks, sometimes a few monthes, then it'll start again. The dumbest part is the puffy eyes; Thank God for sem break. I can't imagine walking into college with a swollen face.

Stephen King's "Thinner"

People keep interrupting me when I'm trying to settle down for a good read. The only time I've time to read now is in the bath and EVEN then people keep disturbing me! Casey kept calling me while I was in the bath just now, but I chose to have selective hearing and rush through the book rather than talk to him. X)

Its such a sin to take bubble baths as often as I do- Cut down on water consumption, FAIL. I think I use four times the amount of water I'd usually use showering when I am bathing. Ugh. Argh. Would it help if I went out and planted trees? My environmental conscience is acting up.

Busy busy week coming up. =/
